An application for in-depth study of the Book of Revelation.
This is an educational and missionary open‑source project aimed at shaping a clearer, Bible‑based understanding of one of the most complex and frequently misunderstood books — the Book of Revelation.
In light of recent events, more and more people are showing interest in the final prophecies described in Revelation.
The Book of Revelation is one of the most difficult books of the Bible to understand. Its many symbols, prophecies, and images require deep study. However, this seems like a challenging task, considering the differences in doctrines, cultures, customs, generations, and even Bible translations.
The main concept of the Revelation application is to provide users with a structured, authoritative, and accessible tool for both familiarizing themselves with the Book of Revelation and studying it in depth, while avoiding speculative and non-biblical interpretations.
The methodology is based on the principle outlined at the very beginning of the book. The principle emphasizes the importance of reading, hearing, and keeping what is written in Revelation.
• Reading is presented in 2 stages: reading the original sources, and a complete grammatical and syntactic analysis of what is written.
• Hearing (leading to understanding) is presented in 3 important stages: identifying and analyzing Old Testament allusions, viewing the texts in the light of the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, and searching for structures and connections with other parts of Revelation and the entire Bible.
• Keeping is presented in 2 stages: understanding how and which prophecies have been fulfilled in the history of the church and all humanity, and which are still awaiting fulfillment. Also, the last but one of the most important stages is aimed at each person looking into their own life in the light of what they have read and understood, to decide whether something needs to be changed in it.
To implement this methodology, it is planned to involve a large number of scholars, linguists, theologians, historians, pastors, and other ministers. Each of them could prepare "brief" and "in-depth" commentary texts corresponding to their qualifications for one of the passages of Revelation.
The "brief" text could be written in a simple style and small in volume for a wider audience. The "in-depth" text can be much larger in volume and contain more specialized terminology for those who wish to deepen their understanding.
Developers and designers would be able to provide the texts with various audio and visual materials to facilitate reading and assimilation.
The Revelation application is built on the modern Flutter framework from Google. This means that we write the code once and run it everywhere – on phones, tablets, PCs, and in browsers. Thus, one development team maintains the entire range of devices, rather than six separate teams working on their own applications. On all platforms, the application looks the same: on the web, Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, or even Linux – with a unified design and excellent performance.
